An up and coming British rock band are booked to headline the Calis Carnival "Party in the Park" free concert which finales the Carnival's packed week of activities on Sunday 30 May.
Toxic Federation are a young Derby based rock band that are emerging as one of the most exciting musical forces in the midlands where they have amassed huge support and they also have growing support across the whole of the UK.
The band and their style of music which blends a wide range of classic rock with their own original material, have been compared to that of many world-class bands, spanning from the present day back to the 70's and the birth of hard rock, but they are increasingly developing a style all of their own. Their adrenalin fuelled live shows are remembered for their incredible guitar and drum performances as well as their exciting stage act. The band has toured with Saxon, The Levellers and UFO amongst others and in June will be supporting the Stranglers at the Wyside Festival.
Toxic Federation who are generously donating their time to appear at the Calis concert, are not newcomers to the Fethiye area. Last year they took a break from their heavy gig schedule to holiday in Turkey and whilst in Fethiye were persuaded to give a guest performance at the Car Cemetery where they went down a storm. They have already built up a large fan base in Turkey.
During their short stay the band will be taking part in a photo shoot and a video shoot in the local area to promote their new album and single. For more details about the band please visit their official website
