Don't know if this of help, but when my husband and I went to the USA  our joint insurance was £300 for 24 days, travelling to 3 destinations. My husband has type 2 diabetes and HB presuure, i have Asthma and osteoporosis (Sorry on the spelling)i tried nearly evey insurance company and Age Concern came up the best. We are in our 70's and 60's and the USA is not the cheapest country to get insurance for, so I was quite pleased with this and they were very helpful. I filled in the form online and they asked some questions about out conditions and then gave us our quote.

My mum who is 77 comes for 4 weeks in May. Last year she paid 120pounds for holiday insurance through the post office. Not sure what it will be this year. When she enquired through Boots, there's was 178 pounds.

I know it can be a pain but don't forget cashback sites when searching, it can make a big difference to the price, although never a guarantee, I have had 95% of claims come through sometimes a little bit late.
