Coming from someone who doesn't consider herself to be much of a royalist, I thought it was a lovely day.  Kate looked beautiful and her dress was gorgeous, quite simple but stunning.  It was lovely to see all the crowds of people lining the route and afterwards in the mall, from so many different countries, backgrounds, ages and no doubt religions, all getting together just to enjoy the occasion.  If there is one thing that Britain can do better than anyone - it's an occasion like this.

P.S. Hubby outside painting the fence!!   :) ;)

Several times this week I have heard British people refer to the Mall as the "Maul" or is it "Morl" - adopting the dumb American way of saying the word. Whatever next.

And also, 'they are like any other young couple, driving away from their reception' yeh except for the 4 armed policemen in the following Range Rover.

I have to admit the wedding went really well, kate looked wonderful and so did the bridesmaids and page boys. we British do put on a good pagent, and I think I would rather have the royals than not. A day like today does make you feel proud to be British. There has been so much doom and gloom on the Telly of late that it was good to see everybody coming together to enjoy the occasion. Good luck to them.

Not so much a dumb thing said, but ITV's coverage before and after the kiss was hilarious! Mark Austin nearly having a meltdown in the crowds, and then replays of the kiss with Philip Schofields analysis almost!
Like most of us on here I agree it was a beautiful day, definitely during 'Jerusalem' with shots of the crowds waving their flags and singing along, a very patriotic moment  :)
