More than I bargained for -Grand Bazaar
« on: January 10, 2012, 05:51:12 AM »
Well it had to be done, a mooch around the Bazaar and better still the streets around the bazaar, my eyes were out on stalks, the stuff you can buy - amazing, I particularly liked the belt buckles, cotton and button area-fab. We had neglected to bring an adaptor, a by product of owning a place in Turkey is that it never crosses our mind to pack one. So we found what can only be described as a cupboard stocking electrical items. Nick pushed me in to get one ( I'm great at miming!) but not necessary the guy fully understood and when I asked how much he said 7tl. I handed over 10tl and he gave me 4 change. Too much change I said- he took it from me and rewarded my honesty with 5tl change and a smile! That was a Grand Bazaar shopping experience I was not expecting!:D
