Just put 20 tl on my mobile via my teb account on line banking and although I know it was low (just under one lira) I then did 7501 immediately to check it and I had 19 tl 38 kurus

This has never happened before and I always top up on line - is this a new charge??

What provider is it? I use Turkcell and have never had a charge.

It's Vodaphone - and I have always topped up on line from the uk and assumed the full amount went on - and when I have checked it in Turkey after topping up on line here it always went on as the full amoiunt - but now - maybe not - or maybe before I was confused

I got a txt from Vodaphone yesterday to say that they were taking 1.71TL off me to pay tax with?? anyone know what this is about? It is a PAYE tarrif.

It's just gone up on this months payment was 1.10tl now 1.21tl, they have been taking it for about a year now.

Anne - on reading thru the text messages from Vodaphone one does say "you have been charged 62 kurus for the collection of duties"

So must be a new charge.
