Digiturk Charges
« Reply #10 on: March 29, 2012, 19:36:27 PM »
We cancelled ours last year.  I dug the original connection sheet out and made sure I paid up to the date of connection.  Meaning we took it out on the 29th July and I paid up to the 29th of the month I was cancelling.  I then  phoned head office in Instanbul and said I was going back to UK  in 2 days and wanted my Digiturk disconnected. We were not on any tied in contract.  The cheeky sods tried to persuade me to just have a break as I may want to come back to Turkey.  When I said no they said did I want to sell it to a friend???  Stuck firm and said I wanted it cut off.  Half hour later no Digiturk, following day went to local office with remote, scart, and box and was given a receipt.  I have had no problems since. This is my experience but I know lots of people who have had problems and end up somehow owing money to them.

Can't imagine why there are so many inconsistencies.  OK, well, We will see how things go.  The next time it goes wrong could be the last.
