« on: June 10, 2012, 07:11:27 AM »
Have just booked for daughters and son-in-law to come over for Xmas hols and will be staying in Antalya.  Eeek just looked at flights and they are extornionate prices to Dalaman and not much better via Istanbul and awful waiting times for conncecting flights.  Do you think cos its early that more flights will be available later on???  If anyone sees any good deals would they let me know please

I wouldnt worry Bee. They always start off at ridiculous prices and come down again about October.

I booked some for my daughter using Pegasus via Istanbul into Dalaman. They were £198 each which includes luggage from Stansted. As it appears Tommy Cook aren't using Dalaman this Xmas I decided that it was easier for us and her to fly to Dalaman to avoid the longer transfer from Antalya. Her transfer time in Istanbul is only an hour.

Decided to book now because scheduled services such as Pegasus and Turkish airlines won't lower their prices. They have a number of seats at each fare and as they get booked, you have to book their higher fare.

Feeling increasingly uneasy about Xmas flights out of Dalaman we have booked today with flythomascook - Antalya to Manchester - at £56 each (one way).

They leave at about 10pm so plenty of time to get to Antalya - even with snow on the roads at that time of year and with the council bus now running more frequently from the Otogar to the Airport for about 2 lira - and 20 lira to Antalya - not too bad :-)

They had flights at that price on 18th and 23rd December if that helps anyone?
