Dagnabbit, yes it is walkable, I'd guess about 10 mins up a hill.
I would not even consider it between May - Sept because in the heat you will be good for nothing when you get up there.

I would ring Murat at the Sundial I don't know weather he has a minimum no for free pickup. He would possibly be able to fit you in the bus with others from Ovacik.
Its worth the phone call food is excellent

It is adviseable to book in advance as Murat has been fully booked every evening for weeks. It is a very busy place which speaks for itself.
