September is lovely - we are going out at the same time and have also visited high season.  It's been very warm and pleasant when we have visited in Sept. 8)

Yes September is the best in my view too - nice and warm and a bit cooler in the evenings. May is similar but September benefits from being after the hot months so the pools and sea are still quite warm, whereas May is just after the winter months and the pools are yet to be boiled by the sun  ;)

We're coming back to Calis at the end of August for 2 weeks, four years since we were last there. So looking forward to visiting again, and seeing any changes, while hoping that much of what we loved is still just the same(including the fantastic weather!!). 8)

Agree September is an ideal time to visit. Still nice and warm but not really the necessity to have air con on anywhere near as much as July/August because, as has already been mentioned, the evenings are a little cooler. Also it's nice to be able to walk more than a few yards without feeling tired out from the heat!!  Cant wait for our September visit..already counting the days!   :)
