Moussaka Restaurant
« on: August 06, 2012, 16:17:22 PM »
Here we enjoyed some of the best food we've had in Calis. The menu is varied and prices very reasonable. We found that the bread and dips/olives made it unnecessary to have a starter. It's a family business and the daughter, Ilkay, beckons and welcomes customers. Her parents are in the kitchen and certainly know how to prepare and cook good food and how to present it. They serve fresh vegetables too - cooked but still crunchy. There is a section of Turkish food on the menu (without explanation in English though the main waiters can explain and advise). When the restaurant is busy service can be slow, but the food is worth waiting for. It is all freshly cooked to order, so some delay is inevitable. What does it hurt to wait? Most people aren't going anywhere else so what's the hurry?
We recommend it highly. The tablecloths were clean and the toilets impeccable. Once we discovered this restaurant we went back there for most of our evening meals - it was that good!

They have always been good, in my experience.  Delicious food.  You just have to accept that the food is worth the wait.  I am so glad you have taken the trouble to post this comment.

The moussaka they sell is disgusting there is more meat in a sausage roll ,but anyone who makes moussaka will know that you cannot make it in a dish less than a inch deep it is supposed to be layered ,cowboys probably from istanbul Hilton again.
