That one makes me wonder but I'm sure somebody will know. It's interesting me because I know for a fact that Codeine is banned in Greece!   ???

Hi ,
We've  been told by pharmacists that codeine not available here. Doctors here can prescribe strong painkillers such as tramadol.

I suspected as much. Problem is, if it's a banned drug, it costs quite a bit to see the Doctor specialising in things like that and even then, they supply with so few at a time that you have to go back!  :(

Other members (philrose initially I think) have kindly posted this link previously

http://www.ilacabak.com/indexen.php

I also seem to recall that someone produced a list of UK drugs with their Turkish equivalent but I can't find it

Previous posts are correct. codein in not available in Turkey without prescription.  You can buy 500/8 codeine in the chemist in the uk without prescription -thats 8 parts codeine to 500 parts paracetamol.  I would advise to take extra with you.
