I despair at the lack of training, inconsistency  and inefficiency of the border staff.

You can now pay £5 to have your luggage off first.

That doesn't work either!
I tried it from Glasgow and our cases came off last!

The e-Visa  should be accepted for UK nationals  The restriction whereby you can only use the e-Visa if you fly with Turkish Airlines relates to the nationality of the applicant rather than which country you fly from so with U.K. passports we seem to be on the right list (Table 1). If your nationality is on Table 2 then you can only use the e-Visa if you fly with Turkish Airlines.

 https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/info/who-is-eligible-for-e-visa/

This information is also available in Turkish.  If anyone has the e-Visa and is worried about problems at Dalaman, it might be worthwhile printing it off  to hand to Passport Control should you need to.

My son and his wife came on a flight last night into Dalaman with easyjet, the passport control just stamped the E visa and their passports no problem.
