Ramadan/Ramzan. Christmas/Xmas.

I say Ramzan, you say pedant. Perhaps Gordon, it's because I'm 'lapsed'.  ;D

I used to think it was Ramadan until the guy doing our garden corrected me and told me I was staying it wrongly and then asked me to repeat after him "Ramazan".  I was duly congratulated and promised to say in correctly in future.

How it is said depends on who you speak to, all our neighbours are Turkish, and depending on age and the region the person comes from the answer if different. Ramadam, Ramazan,  take your pick all leads to the same event in the the end.

In English it's called Ramadan but in Turkish it's called Ramazan.
