ATM Prowler
« on: July 31, 2013, 13:22:43 PM »
Pauline was approached at the ATM today at the Calis Taxi rank by a Turkish guy trying to distract her and grab the card, luckily he didn't get anywhere near it as she is aware this goes on and told him where to go and he went. he is about 5' 8" chubby face and longish greasy hair early 30's, white t shirt with something written  on it. Be on your guard peeps    ;)

Good for Pauline - people up to no good don't want to draw attention to the situation so making a scene and being assertive is a good way to respond.

Glad the lady is OK.  Probably better if two people go to the ATM near the taxi rank and to go in daylight hours.
Such a shame than it's come to this but better safe than sorry.

Way to go Pauline   :)

Shame you didn't have 'cage' to hand at the time, I just know you would have tried to bundle the little sod into it   ;)  x

I can only assume that these barks have some successes, which is why they keep coming back again and again to play the same old tricks, despicable scrotes that they are.  I know the police are stretched this time of the season, perhaps it is time that the banks and council thought about a permanent CCTV on the ATMs, I reckon that would put a stop to it??

How come it's very rarely a bloke they try this with. I guess getting knocked out is not worth the risk. Perhaps go the ATM in couples/pairs ? Takes away the risk.
