E-Dreams

Has anyone used them to book flights?

I ask because they came up cheapest on Sky Scanner for some flights to Barcelona later this month £191 for 3 return from Liverpool.

However when I got all the way through to the pay point using anything but a MasterCard Debit card increased the cost to £263!

Really annoying as we wanted to pay with a Visa Debit or MC credit but both incurred massive costs pp- especially after I'd entered all our details.

I ended up booking direct with Ryanair a and Easy-jet and got them for £220.

Just a heads up to watch E-dreams.

Also does anyone have a MasterCard Debit card?

Yes, I've got 2. An HSBC and a Halifax . I know that Tesco's, Sainsbury's and Clydesdale also issue them although quite a large number of Mastercard Debit cards seem to be pre-pay.

I also have the same as KKOB, they are the ATM card.
However I don't use them for anything other than ATM's if I can help it, I will use a credit card because you have better consumer protection with a CC than you get with a debit card.

I wasn't aware that Tesco issued debit cards yet. Have they started their current accounts now?
