I have no idea what my favourite is, so many to choose from - at the moment I am enjoying a bit of Gilmour, especially live:

I saw Eric Clapton live and his extended version of "Layla" was absolutely mesmerising.

There is only one best guitar solo, and its probably the longest, especially when played live.

One of my favourites -   Samba pa ti by Carlos Santana , played every holiday on my  I pod when I am chilling out   8)
 Released in 1970 still sounds great.
