I have absolutely no idea why this has started troubling me, but troubling me it certainly is.
If, in the unlikely event, that when in Calis I say "I'll have a gin and tonic please" it will
sound totally different if, for example, my dear friends Anne (from Glasgow) or laffa (fromLiverpool) had said the same.
My very "simple" question is why - what is it that makes the difference
