Lotty it is very much like the recipe you posted, chicken breast not whole bird.
I make the sauce, it is a mushroom sauce, fine dice mushroom and shallots, sweated then add mushroom sauce, first time I added too much and was very salty.
We purchased the terracotta dishes when in Turkey, could not find decent ones in UK, heat them up, put the cooked stuff chicken in them on a a bed of shredded cheese cover, cook until melted add the sauce and cook again.
Delicious.

For anyone wanting to make various Turkish dishes, try this book (kindle version also available) compiled by Ozcan Ozan, a Turkish national chef, based in the US (hence courgettes become zucchini etc   ;))

Rick Stein's 'Venice to Istanbul' is a fabulous book, the TV prog was also inspiring. Lots good recipes, mostly straight forward with minimal ingredients.   :)
