What CBF is all about to me
« on: October 15, 2015, 11:50:19 AM »
Like many I joined the forum originally as I was coming to Calis for the first time
and was looking for all the information I could find. Since then I have been fortunate
in talking to various members over a long period and received so much help on all manner of things.
(tried to help others when I can and of course enjoy the banter ..!  :) )

Recently I needed a long term rental and also some other advice and many members have been kind enough
to help, so thank you all.

It is great site, and to me revolves around people having a laugh here and there but more than anything
wanting to help people get the most from Calis and Turkey so long may it continue!

Particularly thanks Jacqui Harvey for all the clothes shopping advice for the Memsahib, ( I am now broke!  :) ), and
Liz for all your help in Renting a place!

Looking forward to spending Xmas there so will be paying careful attention to CBF then to see what is happening and where!

Nice post John, our sentiments too. It is indeed an invaluable forum. Someone is always there to answer a query and sometimes we feel we've helped too. A brilliant concept which must have saved so many people a lot of time, effort and angst. Long may CBF continue!  ;D ;D ;D

PS  (Jacqui is definitely our Queen of shops and bargains!)  ;)

Glad to have been of help John and hope Mrs J.T. is happy with her purchases... Sorry about the loss of funds, but I am sure she is worth it  :)

Very grateful for your help Jacqui.

Thank you.

You saved me many miles of walking/driving (and wasted money) during my last visit.

Once went a nice banquet at Worsley old hall and had a colleague who lived on Leigh road (very poosh)  8)
