Just a (kindly and freely offered) selection for the return trip to the airport - we haven't got round to eating that apple yet  :)

A relative of mine who's into healthy living and alternative medicine sent away a UK supermarket Orange to have its vitamin c contents examined, they replied by telling her there was more vitamin c in a ham sandwich than in the Orange that was tested!

And Ham sandwiches are easier to peel. !!     ;)  We really do get misled / ripped off by the food industry.  But that apple has kept well.

My old granny would have told you that a correctly picked and stored apple should last at least a year. But that is wrapped in paper and in a box each row separated with cardboard then the box stored in s dark place. We always had at least one box of apples opened and one sealed in the under stairs cupboard, but, kept like that and still good .....
Cream of the crop!
