Dropped quite a lot against the pound in the last 6 months.

It's actually gained against the GBP over the last six months, in Sep last year it was 4.70tl to £1.

Has the lira dropped or gained? This causes some difficulty. That's because we are looking at how much the £ is worth. If we look at how much the lira is worth - it was 21p in September and it is now worth 25p, so it has clearly gained.
