Does anyone know please why oh why the bridge that was built down from Nevada Hotel and heading towards the cemetery which was only built 5 or 6 years ago is now being demolished? A new one has been put in a bit further up but it means we have to sort of go back on ourselves, i do hope there wil be at least a footbridge put back in!

The road from the Tugay and then the gap for the river and the same road goes on up to the cemetery, so possibly makes sense as we have always said not to have a river inbetween the same road would be better,  possible why they have built a bridge, but seems strange to take the other one away??

the building works were quite unexpected.  Live very near here & pass by every morning and a digger just turned up on Monday and work began, which since then has started at 7am each day  As of yesterday the diggers and trucks were actually in the river removing what seemed like the river bed  itself (mud and suchlike) so perhaps they are making it deeper?  OH did ask the workmen what was happening on Monday and they said the bridge was going to be put back in so maybe just removed it so they could get into the river ?

Ok thank you for replies ha yes we saw the diggers and truck in the river and wondered if they are making it deeper to minimise the risk of flooding to local houses during winter...ah i do hope the bridge will be rebuikt they have left some bits intact so fingers crossed!    ;)
