What's new in 2018 for residency permit applications?

Today we have completed a first application process.

As you know regulations changing very often here in Turkey.

1- Immigration Office (Göç idaresi) started to take your finger prints digitally ( No ink)

2- Immigration office (Göç idaresi) started to take your photos from sides at the office with a camera connected to officers computer.

3- Immigration Office (Göç idaresi) started asking copy of all stamped pages by Turkish border Police.

4- Tax office started to charge 72 Lira tax for the residency card. It was 63 Lira last year. The cost of residency permit raised just 9 Lira. Tax for duration of residency paid in dolar rates and changing all year with currency rates.

As we learned all foreigner's finger prints will be recorded to system.

A big thank you to Mustafa, met at 11am yesterday and residency interview completed 9am this morning, only issue was residency office didn’t recognise new square passport stamps on entry but soon resolved. A lot easier than anticipated!

You're welcome Simon,
Yes The Border police has a new stamp for entry. It was round and red in color but now rectangle and the color is black. :-)
