wow - thanks everyone - that was really welcoming.
We do love it here -although the decision was not taken lightly we have done the right thing.  As normal things are not always as expected and plans didnt pan out quite as expected.  But we are doing great now and managing a good life. We are presently renting in the ovacik area although now with winter approaching i think we now we need to move closer to Fethiye for work and schools.  We came for a year initially to decide how we settled etc, hence the renting - but as we are going to stay the house in Uk is up for sale and we will buy here in the right area!! im really impressed with all of your kind words and thoughts thanks - you have made a cold day in Fethiye glow for me!
