We have downloaded skype and are ok with using it but we need to know have those of you living in Turkey got skype phones as your main line, the idea was to buy a set of phones from here bring to Turkey and use the main one as our main phone, is it the same connection?

There are many people using skype out in Turkey but not sure if they are using it as their main phone.

Yes Teresa I do, the idea was if we have a landline which is connected to a skype phone then other skype users (friends & family) would be able to phone us rather than go through the computer.

The plugs on UK and Turkish phones are totally different, so no you can't just plug it in. Most phone shops will be able to change the plugs for you though. :)
