I was there and received a 'tarpaulin full' of rainwater which nearly missed me, but disintegrated my cigarette to the great amusement of stall holders and Mrs. Scunner.

I wouldn't mind, but we had waited in all day 'for the rain to stop' and eventually arrived at it's peak.

Welcome Chris and Sue, I hope this weather you appear to bring with you isn't a habit.

Scunner  :)

Didnt want to start on a downer( dig at the weather ),as we both love the whole area from Calis to Olu deniz, just unfortunate not to be able to use the apartment as much as we liked due to change in Sue`s job .Our friends fi and eric, fiirst told us about this beautiful area of turkeyand in fact are moving out soon to Uzumlu ( lucky people, still have a few more years yet for us )another pretty and tranquil place.

Welcome Chris and Sue.Sorry to here about your change in circumstance, and the bad weather. Most of the UK has also been on the receiving end of rain, and lots of us have suffered severe gales. They even had to abandon organised outdoor events( New Years Eve) that is.That is after the hottest summer ever recorded in UK.Anyway,a warm welcome to both of you.Alec.

Welcome to the forum Chris & Sue, no way was i leaving scarlett bar that night, the following day i had to wade through 11 inches of water to get to the stairs up to my appartment, it's all fun of the holiday anyway aint it. Sorry that was 2005, last year in October it started bouncing down on the Monday and didn't stop until thursday night, or Friday morning, but nowhere was flooded like the year before. Alan
