He wasn't his usual self, but when he told us what had happened we understood why he was so miserable.

Talked to him the other day and he was very down.
Said he lost all his photos etc in the fire so maybe he would like a copy of some of these ?

Oh thats awful poor Hagi.  We have lots of photos of him over the years, happy to bring some out for him when we come (or email to someone to give to him).   Is he ok for everything else, is there anything that he needs that we can help replace ?  He is an absolute star and brightens up our day when we see him.    'I love you  - you love me ?. !!!!'

Oh dear, met him last wednesday at megri,s
he certainly wasn,t his usual cheerful self. He never mentioned his trouble, thought it was my stupid banter. will have to commiserate with him when I see him next. :)

Hagi is a lovely chap and this year has been very hard for him. In July he spent a lot of time in Calis looking for a guy who had borrowed his life savings and had dissapeared. He looked so upset I said I would replace the money so don't despair. He wouldn't entertain the idea. He did mention that he was available for hire to do odd jobs during the winter however.

Since then he has had a fire at home and lost a great deal of belongings. Since we know he will not accept charity I would request any CBF members who are need of odd jobs around their place to give the guy a chance to earn his way out of difficulties.

This is very sad news - Hagi always has a smile on his face, so to get such a bad run of luck is tragic.  I hope things pick up for him.
