Help with directions please

We are coming over to Calis on Thursday 23rd August for one week and staying at the Summer Apartments.
Does anyone know where these are located and can help us with directions from Dalaman airport please?
We've emailed the apartment owner but he doesn't seem to be forthcoming with any information.
Time is running out and I'm starting to panic, thinking we'll get lost (we usually do).
I would really appreciate it if someone could point us in the right direction.

How are you getting to Summer Apartments from Dalaman?

If by taxi, the taxi driver can telephone the hotel
Owner: Mutlu Tuncel
Landline:  +90 252 6134840
Mobile: +90 552 3541490

Here's a location map but doesn't help if you don't know the area

Sorry, best I could find and I don't know the Apartments myself.

Have a nice holiday and don't worry. If you need an emergency number you can always call us and we will help.

Hi Dotty Doris,

Firstly a question, what transport do you have to travel from Dalaman?

Summer Apartments is next door to Sevi Hotel or a stone throw from Hotel Seril - and on the road to and from Dalaman - you will need a transfer its 40/45mins drive from airport. Its not far from Koca Calis and its 2-3 mins walk to Calis beach - its also not far from Seaside Villas which is the last Dolmus stopin calis. I hope this helps. Its very nice apartments - enjoy your hols

Thanks everyone and I will print directions and phone numbers in case we get lost (which we probably will).
It's our first time in Turkey so we have no idea how to get from Dalaman to our accomodation.
We are picking up a hire car from the airport when we arrive, that's why we need directions.
I really appreciate the fact that you are all so very helpful, I've never had this much help when going on holiday!  :)

Hi Doris, if you go on one of the 'Map sites' you will be able to print off the map & directions to Fethiye, although it is well signed-posted.  I did this in Feb, no probs, despite my son's reassurance that we would get lost...I didn't... :)

Good luck x

Just one bit of advice, follow the road signs to Fethiye, there aren't any for Calis from Dalaman, until you are just about there.

It is an easy drive, once out of Dalaman it is one road, the car hire rep should be able to point you in the right direction. but it is not English roads, If travelling during certain hours of darkness, traffic lights are set to flash, this means proceed with care, whatever colour they are.

You normally return the hire car with the same amount of fuel as you recieve it with, take a note.

You will need two and a half lira for the tunnel, or else you have to go over the mountain, not recommended for your first drive in Turkey.

Don't forget they drive on the right in Turkey (sometimes:D).

I hope this is helpful. I would normally hire a car anywhere I have travelled in the world, but it took me 7 years before I had the nerve to try it in Turkey.

Hi Doris we have been hiring car since the first time we went over 6 years ago my loves driving there no problems ,you didn't say hoe many are coming over if there is only two or three its worth asking car hire people if the driver can drive back to calis and then you drop him off at the office it saves them sending two drivers ,we only do it now if we are landing 2/3 a.m.in case we are tired worth thinking of have a nice one .

Hi Doris

Head for Fethiye and, after you pass through the Gocek tunnel, keep going for about the same distance again on the new road.  Then watch carefully on your right for a turn-off (not a huge sign) to "Calis Plaji" (Calis Beach).  Go down there and you will come to Summer Apartments on the right hand side of this road, just before Sevi Hotel.  If you pass a market shop on your right, you have overshot by 100 yards!

Enjoy your holiday in your beautiful apartment.

Harry and Sheila (2 Summer).

Hi Somine,
Where did you get that photo from?  The reason I ask is that my Villa is opposite summer apts, and I wondered if you had any other photos of the immediate area. Thanks pete.
