Come on Heather, don't be so naive - it's gloves we are talking about here.

Turn a blind eye to glove smuggling and before you know it they'll have moved on to harder illicit activities, like hats!

Do not carry packages with unidentified contents on behalf of other people. If asked to do so, contact the local police, customs or member of staff immediately.

I agree with Heather's findings. I returned to Turkey on Dec 3rd after a very short visit to UK. If I had seen the initial posting asking for help, I would have offered to bring the item out but would have satisfied myself that it was proper and kept it available for inspection if required. Security is important but should not prevent poeple doing favours for each other.
