Installing a well
« on: May 17, 2008, 15:43:26 PM »
Hello can anyone tell me what the approximate cost of having a well installed in a garden please. I am informed that a well is necessary to water the garden. My place is near Calis/Gunlukbasi
Thank you.

I have been told that to sink a well now you have to get permission from the authorities in Iden? first. Charges for wells vary with the depth they have to go to find water. It is also best to have the work done at the end of the summer when the levels are at their lowest. Here in Uzumlu the cost for a well seems to be between £1500-£2000 plus whatever the authorities want to grant permission.

Mark's not far out, it was 800ytl, which at the time was around £300 & also included an electricity supply to the pump. The bore was 9 metres

Seems to be quite a difference in the prices suggested in this thread.

Does anyone know how much it would cost now and how long it would take and can anyone recommend a good company to do this task. I don't live up a mountain I live near the Sunday market.
Thanks
Heather
