Looking at going on a trip to the mud baths at Dalyan in August, can anyone tell me if the journey is usually by boat or coach (leaving from Fethyie) and how long does it take to get there?

Hi Lamberts
The trip is by coach, and should take about an hour and a half, or longer if it visits a carpet or gold shop.
Nice relaxing day out

Whenever I have made the trip it has always been by boat, a much nicer way to travel.

Mike, as you've been by boat am I right in assuming it was from Marmaris as we did the same [?]. Also you state in another thread that you are making your 1st trip to Calis this year.
From Marmaris it was the best boat trip we have ever done

although on our first attempt we were turned back due to rough seas.
I think by boat from Fethiye is a bit too far for a day.

We hired a car and then used one of the council boats to go to mud baths etc.

Ken. Yes it was from Marmaris, have done it a couple of times and as you say its a great boat trip, its a shame if it cant be done from Fethiye.
I see that you are in Calis at the same time as me so with a bit of luck I might see you there.
