Because I'm a vain-son-of-a-bitch, I knew that this was going to be my 4000th post. As such, I thought that I should at least consider what the subject of this "landmark" post should be.
Should it be a another response to Twin Bee on Mandella. ?
Maybe another unfunny joke, cut and pasted from an email I had received recently ?.
Perhaps a comment on the current state of the British economy under "Who's feeling the pinch". or the latest spat of crime in Calis ?.
Might it have been another rant about the nineteenth thread about how many sleeps such and such was going to have before their holiday ?.
Could it have been yet another futile attempt to outwit certain senior members (you know who you are) on any given topic ?.
Well I suppose it could have been any of these. But I've had occasion to look at life differently recently so it's going to be simply this::::.
Brenda and I have be fortunate indeed to have forged lasting friendships with some local Calis people over a number of years, and more recently, we have had even more good fortune in becoming firm friends with a number of CBF members.
These friendships are amongst the most important things in our lives and we cherish them dearly.
Hence the subject of this "landmark" post.
Mrs H and I wish you, all our friends, whether in Turkey or the UK, every possible wealth, health and happiness in the future.
