I find it really interesting how one version of a song can differ in the hands of different artists.
A perfect example of one I like is the re make of 'The first time ever I saw your face' written by Ewan MacColl in 1957 and covered by Roberta Flack in 1972. Two totally different takes on the same song.
A cover I dont like is Madonna murdering the Don Mclean classic 'American Pie'
