There was a spell checker not so long back, nobody used it as far as I noticed. Also, a good proportion of searches made on google are made with spelling mistakes. It is only because some members spell identically as badly on CBF that these searchers find us at all :D

If I could do that I would own up to it but alas i do not have the power or knowledge:D

Spot on Scunner,I did say in one post that Geordie was a name generally given to anybody from the NE of England.
Mackem and Takem,Sunderland,at one time the biggest ship building town in the world,my Dad spent all his working life down the yards,used to be intense rivalry with the yards on the other side.
Different generation,different life.
I wonder if any member comes from West Hartlepool and can tell us the story we from the North always enjoy hearing. :)
