this is all really making me snigger
have been holding back any opinions for fear of being called prejudiced and judgemental again
go for it Tinx, you'll be fine, was there last week, ( yes - even without a special 'I'm an outsider' pass ) went with trepidation, saw lots of Turkish villagers, a donkey living in the downstairs of a house, several cows, goats, chickens and sheep
they were all friendly
the scariest thing was the ghastly houses built right at the top of the village, some kind of pretentious green things with white ballastrades and fake stone entrance/storage area
the area was a lot bigger than I remember, and we ambled for 2 hours through little lanes, gorgeous
anyway, as this is a restaurant thread, we stopped starving and thirsty at a place on the corner with orange and green chairs, had a beer, but they never appeared again to see if we wanted food, so went to a very tasty lokanta in Gunlukbashi
I refuse to say any negative comments about this poor service, I'm sure it was just an oversight - or maybe it was because we were outsiders
