Scareylady, It's only 41.7 miles from Werrington to Warrington and only takes 53mins

It's 58 miles for us and 1.5 hours to Warrington so Scunner had better not change it now

JB - you have not accounted for the more stringent border control checks that you will undergo when entering Lancashire from Yorkshire.

However, you can and most of us prefer it this way - go down the M1 to Burton on Trent and then come back up through Staffordshire and Cheshire thus avoiding Lancashire altogether.

This journey is: 155 mi - about 3 hours 7 mins

It might be a longer journey that way - however we do enjoy the thrill of the return journey when passing the white rose on saddleworth moor to signify entry into Gods own county!

Ian , the nights enjoyment factor will be greatly reduced if the Yorkshire/ Leeds mob take the long way and can't turn up.We know how to party.  
           Nothing nicer for a Leeds Loiner than seeing the White Rose sign, opening the car window and breathing in natures Yorkshire air on the return journey. Like nectar!

Damian and Tania are interested so all we need now is Chippy and hubby to show an interest and we've got a 'contingent' from Leeds. Chippy.. where are ya? (Probably out shopping for the 3 for a tenner plonk in Aldi!
