Jan,

Just read this as the internet connection here in Kata Beach, Phuket, is rubbish.

I'm really pleased you are OK and hope the people who tried this get caught before they actually achieve whatever it is they are trying to do. As a bloke I rarely feel threatened in Turkey but I would worry if Maggie was walking home on her own - not just in Calis but anywhere late at night.

Hi Jan,
I don't know you, but i'm sorry to here what happened to you, I frequently wander around callis on my own when I'm there. Strange though I would never do the same thing at home.
Have heard today from a friend that the police have been making enquiries around callis today, so it appears they are on the case.
I was told by the police a few years ago that as pepper spray is illegal in england, to alway's carry a body spray, I always do now as well as a rape alarm.

Hi I am new to this site. My husband and i came to Calis is sept 2008 and loved it so much that we booked for June 2009 Now i am worried it is a mistake We stay at the Oykun and the road to it that we cut down is lonely and dark the other option is just as remote Are they targeting couples, albeit my husband is 5-10 and shaved head I worry too much i think We also fish near the Satt and there are often locals young and old there is this safe ? Sorry to seem anxious about everything but i am concerned after reading this forum appreciate any replies regards kk

Hi Kazzer
Why not go along and introduce yourself on the intro pages.
You'll love Calis as much this year as you did last year.
Take your time to read the rest of the forum before getting too anxious and thinking you've done the wrong thing in booking again.
