The 1st Uzumlu Mantar Festival is next weekend. It will be held in the village square and will be 3 days of
             "music and fun for everyone"
.It is being organized by a local man so lets hope everyone supports his efforts to make this into an annual event.

Good luck to all involved, I am wincing at the thought of all the old fungi jokes being trotted out again; I hope the event is successful and future ones mushroom.

I spoke to Ali Kislak who is helping to organise the festival last week and he said that he would like to have some car boot stalls on the Sunday which is the last day of the three day festival. I did post this last week but with all the site problems is was one of the posts that got lost.

Unfortunatly if there is a car boot it will clash with the Hisaronu one so many of the serious booters are likely to be at Hisaronu. However if anyone in the Uzumlu area is interested in having a stall please can they e-mail me and I will tell Ali.  It will probably be on the car park in the centre of the village. Just to make it clear Calis Carnival are not organising the car boot, we have just been asked for our advice after running the Calis one for the last year.

Thanks :)

Yes,as a link it doesn't work, but if you type it directly into your browser it should.  They still hadn't got the English version up and running as of Sunday morning...
