Booking into a hotel early?
« on: June 12, 2009, 17:13:07 PM »
I made a mistake when booking our holiday. Fly out late on Friday 31st July and should arrive at the Malhun hotel approx 7am all being well. I didn't pay for the Friday night (this is a DIY job)and forgot that most hotels don't let you book in until the afternoon. Hotel provider want £126 for two rooms for the 31st. Don't mind paying a bit extra but I'm not paying that! Have contacted the Malhun twice to ask them if they'll take a reasonable cash payment to let us book in early but have never received a reply.
Do you reckon we will have to wait until 2pm to check-in?
Also, anyone go to the opening of Max's new Sands Bar at Koca-Calis?
Can we get a cab there or do we have to walk along the beach?
any advice much appreciated.

I would have thought it would all depend on whether the hotel is full on the Friday night. If not you may be in luck, otherwise, you'd have to wait until the previous guests checked out & the room was cleaned

Thanks Liz, what I thought. Might just have to give the Red Bull (yuk) a tanking or neck a gallon of coffee.

It`s guaranteed that if there was only one guest in the hotel on friday night, their room would be the one allocated to you.   :D

Well I think quite differently. If they have a room they'll gladly let you have a few hours sleep and a refresh  :)

Don't listen to Crabbit, when it comes to hotels, he finds Basil Fawlty too helpful.

You could be firstin line for the sunbeds.  Keep your stuff handy and crash there.

Now that does sound tempting! Is the new Sand's open yet?
