Great shot of our place on the first one of the three pics Kanga, thanks. It is really interesting to see what it was originally like before all of the surrounding buildings.

My Brownie was timeless.Nice pics kanga. It's good to see how things were.Especially for us newbies. It's a shame camera's wern't about
when places like Cadianda or Tlos were thriving.

hi
we started going to calis 20+ years ago.the main street had only a few bars /restaurants,the old post office by  the water taxi amigos there was a old horse and cart to take you to a restaurant at the end of the dirt track that is now the prom.no discos thou they did get one under the secatur hotel .there was a lot of turtles laying there eggs on the beach at night.we met falcon when he was shy and couldn't speak English he arrived from izmir to work at the secatur .[look at him now].there was a bar that kept pigs on the front .how times change but our memories stay with us for ever

God grief Bigbums thats the Calis we remember too! The A1 and subsequently Airport disco under the secatur and do your remember the mohair cardies on sale at the entrance- they were there for years! The horse and cart took you to the Albatross which is the derelict building by the dolmus terminus now- and past the Albatross which is now Koca Calis etc was nothing!!

Great looking at those pics, you would never dream of taking decent shoes to Calis then, the Harem was just soil on the floor with plastic tables & chairs, and white painted rocks as a path which led to the bar,I must try and find some old pics and get someone to put then on for me,
Bigbum,is your name Gerry,? did  Kenny speak to you at Cafe Inn in May,?because he said the man he spoke to had been going to Calis for 25 years,
