Why has Andylad not come on here to update everyone if it has been resolved?
Let's hope it's all back to normal now.

Hi everybody talk about news travelling fast. We only managed to get the paperwork from denizli we needed a couple of weeks ago and then spent the next week between what seemed like every office in fethiye to try and get a straight answer as to whether this paperwork would sort our problem or not. Denizli havnt actually removed the agricultural clause that was causing the problem, but they have said that if the land is Arsa / parcelated has living and building permision they cant see why it cant be sold to foreigners, but for peace of mind I recommend everyone concerned approach the belediye with Tapu etc and get confirmation that your land is ok to sell as I have been told that some people have a slightly different problem.
Other than that I'am as sure as you can be in Turkey that for the majority of people this problem is now resolved.  :)

We just returned from Uzumlu last week and are about to purchase a villa on the Green World complex. Does anyone know if this area is affected? The last thing we want to do is buy and then in years to come not be able to sell to anyone except the Turks. Any help would be appreciated. I have alerted my solicitor to the situation.

Once again the research starts the minute after someone commits to spend tens of thousands of pounds on a property in a far off land. It should be absolutely incredible really, if it wasn't so common. :-\

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Eric, I think it is the Tufan development on the hillside on the way to Cadianda. Talkheath if that is the complex and it is a Villa that is already built it shouldn't be affected by the agricultural land problem in the valley BUT if you are out again soon I would talk to some people who live permanently on the complex it always helps because they would have already gone through any problems eg water, electricity, Tapu's etc.

Thanks Phil, I know where you mean.  The only thing that comes to mind there, if memory is working ok, is that apparently there was a problem with the land area on the Tapu of some people.  The Tapu said one thing and when it was measured the land area was somewhat less.
