They do get a load of bad press but honestly in June they were really good, and it could be said I am hard to please!!, everything on time in fact we landed early and on the way back as I was on my own I asked for an aisle seat the girl put me on row 12 fantastic...where the doors are so had about 3 feet in front of me...granted my legs are only a foot long:D...but it was just great.

Suffice to say the crew had received a personality bypass :), but I can live with that given everything else was so good. :)

Onur air= turkish
meaning men are employed as the higher ranking cabin crew.
The airline industry usually has a woman in charge of the cabin with most airlines.
the men that are usually employed by airlines as cabin crew are mostly gay guys, usually quite feminine, and fit in well working in a predominantly female environment.
however my experience working with onur air was that most if not all senior cabin crew were straight men,who were very arrogant in their position and didnt fit the role as well as their gay counterparts elsewhere in the world.
hence.. not a relaxed or happy workforce, reflected in the service given on onur air.
just my opinion.

my other comment about "highly trained individuals" was to point out that food service on board doesnt figure very much in the cabin crew training as most of the time is taken up learning aircraft specifics and safety/emergency procedures.
not very weard really! ;)

we have the option to choose if we eat and drink on board or not, and yet people moan and groan about flippin entertainment!
i could understand a little more if it was a flight to austrailia!!!
its only a 4 hour leg!! we pay next to nothing in comparison to other public transport, sometimes as little as 40 quid!!
i pay more 4 a cab home from the airport!!
i think we are lucky 8)

Minxer I wasnt complaining about the lack of inflight entertainment but merely enquired if there was any.
