What a brilliant night!

About 30 people attended the wine tasting night last night at Park Hotel, none of us had tasted the wine before and we were a little apprehensive but there was no need.

Andy Munroe(Pookies other half) who is a wine taster by profession talked everybody through the different wines and explained how to squaff it:P Andy himself was pleasantly surprised as to how good some of the wines were,especially the Shiraz and the Merlot.

We sold eight cases on the night and raised 160ytl towards the
animal shelter

I think everybody had a great time and the food that followed was excellent, our hosts Nikki and Koray were brilliant, so well done to them.

We are planning another soon and will be open to anyone but a limited number of tickets will be available, this will inc. food and live music hopefully

We also had a special guest Efe our student turned up to say thank you and hello to everyone also Hamish the Pekinese came in

A great night had by all, well done to all of you for making it so

It was an excellent evening, three of the red wines in my opinion were the best I have had for a long time.

I hope the next one is as much of a success, well done everyone.

Had a great night, so thanks to Andy and Andy:D Looking forward to the arrival of the case of Merlot, it was an excellent wine[^]

Must mention the food, we both had the Hunters chicken and it was the best I have had in years, we will certainly be back there again.

The wine-tasting sounds great - would love to take part - back out for 3 weeks on 9th September - will keep an eye on topic for dates during that time. Interested in having tickets for this time period.

Sorry i missed this thread......wine tasteing event in turkey and i missed it.....im a conniseur on wine like all Scots......they even made a name for us based on that.......wino,s.Next time maybe!

I'm sorry Andy i was looking forward to going but i still cannot find where it says what day it is was on ,my PC been down for two days had two friends looking for me and they couldnt find it either.next time .
