Is it just Uzumlu that is prone to scorpions, do we need to look out for them in Calis as well? Also are they very big the ones you get in Uzumlu?

In 5 years of living in Calis and holidays before and since, I've never seen a scorpion. Snakes yes but no scorpions.

I holidayed 13 times in Hisaronu, Kaya and Karagozler.  Now we have lived here for over 2 years in Uzumlu, haven't seen a scorpion at all.  I look all the time because I am curious to see one (ONE only please...).  I think you're more likely to see them in quieter areas (near the trees and rocks).  But, having said that, one walked straight past our table in a busy restaurant garden recently, spotted by someone else, -it had legged it by the time he told me.

Thanks Pookie.  Can you imagine your neighbours watching me sitting there at dusk.  LOL!!!

I would love one of those ultra violet lights that make them glow.  It might be quite revealing to aim it at our wall and see what really IS lurking there.  But, with so many pets, there's a chance (I suppose) that they have high tailed it to the hills......
