Welcome to Romania Efe
« on: October 10, 2009, 19:28:23 PM »
Efe our adoptive student arrived safely in Romania to start his University degree that he worked himself into an illness to achieve.

He went to the bank to exchange his money and on exiting was set upon by three youths who beat him unconsious and left him in hospital for two days, his money and personal belongings all gone:(

His six student friends had all their belongings taken from the dormitory including laptops, fortunatley efe had the foresight to hide his under a mattress and managed to keep his, one of them had already had his wallet lifted from the table while looking at the menu in McDonalds, the cctv was on but they were not allowed to view,
all matters were reported to the police with no interest shown.

Efe of course was deeply upset and phoned his teacher here in Fethiye and told him the story, he didnt want the risk of upsetting his parents, his teacher has got him back to home to Fethiye and a very tearful reunion with his family.

He met Perihan today and was still in tears and his biggest worry was we would want the laptop back bur was told to keep it, he is now studying back in Fethiye.

Andy:(

That's really awful and what an introduction to Romania! :(
We hope that Efe is recovering from his injuries and we would like to send him our very best wishes.
After all of the hard work he has put in to achieve his University place, we hope that his determination to succeed will help him make the decisions for his future, when he is ready.
Good Luck & Best Wishes Efe.

How awful for him - he's been through so much to get to University I'm sure he'll do really well in Fethiye.

Good Luck Efe.

Shocking news - he's a lovely lad who had done so well to earn his university place and deserved the support he received.  I'll never forget his face when he was presented with the laptop...what a huge blow to him (and his family)this must be.  Please send him our best wishes and we hope he continues his studies and achieves his goals.  Let us know if there is anything we can do to help him along.

How cruel life can be.  Please send him our very very best. I am sure that he will do well, where-ever he studies, it is all down to attitude and commitment, and he has that by the bucketful.  Keep smiling Efe.   (Tinx - email me if there is anything we can do xx)
