it was good in there, sampled my first lentil soup in there. Great people watching, I witnessed the meeing of a young man and his dad with a young girl and her parents there. So interesting, mum and daughter shot off to the loo together to discuss the young man and then a little later it was agreed that they could walk out together with mum a few feet behind. I'm such a nosey bugger! The little guy who worked in there moved on to a little kebab shop just a few metres along the road.

The place where the Birlik was near the Akarca roundabout has been refurbished and looks set to re-open again (but probably not as the Birlik)

SAHIL 2 - just along the road from Migros is my favourite.
Always a good range of traditional dishes and the most fantastic chicken soup (a meal in itself) try the garlic oil drizzled on the top........gorgeous.
They do deliver too - and the soup arrived well sealed and packed.
worth a try.

seckin for me, love it there. The food is great and the staff really nice, and love to sit out there in the summer and watch the comings and goings. Is always popular with Turkish families too. Seems like the whole family comes out to eat. Really clean and friendly place. :)

Mine and Dogan's favourite is Birlik just up from the cinema in Fethiye. I always used to have the aubergine (Mousakka), best I have ever had anywhere but if they have the mushroom dish available I have that - it's very yummy!

We always have 2 mains, couscous and yoghurt and it comes to 11TL.

Not a place where you would linger but if you want a tasty bite to eat in a hurry this is definitely well worth trying.

Womens toilets are clean - but why do the men always use the women's toilet; not just here either. Is there something wrong with theirs[?]
