Advance Passenger Infomation
« Reply #30 on: January 28, 2010, 13:49:57 PM »
We are coming out 22nd Feb. Just spoken to TC and they advised that I do need API. I went onto there website and put API into faq search and thet led me to the form. I have now filled in the form and printed a copy off. So it seems that if you are flying with TC you will need to register your details. Even if there is confusion with this probably better to spend a few minutes now that hours at the airport or even worse not allowed entry.
Now another twist, we are coming with KTHY in April so I rang their London office, as I could find nothing on the web site, and when I asked about whether I need advanced passenger information forms for that flight they did not know what I was talking about! :D[?]

Timing seems to be everything as I understand  if your flight is less than 7 days away you do not fill in on line but at check in as you can do anyway. They are obviously trying to cut down check in delays. Oh to have the dilemma ;)

We have just tried !! to supply the API on the Thomas Cook website, but like 'foreverblue' we only got as far as the Extras page (seating, champagne etc) and it just wouldn't let us go any further - useless.   Will try to Email them to see what the probelm is.   Presumably if this information is required and not given the flight check in desks will be longer than ever if they have to take the information at the desk.

Christie go to Flythomascook website click on help and FAQ.
On that page you will see 3 boxes select technical help in box 1 leave box 2 and type advanced passenger information in box 3 click go
on next page click bookings issues 16th Jan
next page click API
on next page if you scroll to the bottom you will find
"to provide API click here"
This will take you to the form.
Hope this helps
