Wow Starman - 7 kg in less than a week! Weren't you starving all the time though?  What sort of things did the detox involve, would love to hear more. I'm impressed that the weight didn't bounce straight back on. I've only lost 1lb this week :(  Got to do more exercise and less fish n chips this week.

It involved drink a few clay drinks per day, a few herb pills, a daily colonic cleanse and broth at night. Never felt hungry once. After the fast you spend the first day eating just fruit, then next day raw veggies, next day cooked, then next day you go back onto bread and pasta or rice then 5th day back onto protein like meat and fish. Your sense in taste really changes after this and you learn to appreciate food a lot more. The colonic bit sounds gross but you would be shocked to find what comes out after a cleanse. Things like chicken skin and chewing gum can stay in your colon for years and block the colon from taking in vital nutrients.
Since this one week regime I have done a few changes like eat lot less junk food, replaced potatoes with sweet potatoes (can cook them exactly same way but they have no starch) and eat a lot more salads.
Google the sanctuary thailand and the website will come up with all the details. I plan to do this once a year now considering the health benefits and a safe and fast way to lose weight. You dont have to go to thailand for this as plenty of other places in the world do this.

Thank you for this really interesting post Starman - a real eye opener - didn't realise there was no starch in sweet potatoes and so I think I might give them a try now.  OMG the info about the colonic cleanse and what comes out and how stuff can stay in your sysem for years is incredible. I'll google the sanctuary - maybe one day I'll go for it too.  BB x

Hi ladies - remember me?  I've not posted for a long time but have just returned to Slimming World after a long trip to Australia over Christmas visiting my son and seeing my grandson.  Last year I finally reached my target weight and was dreading weigh in this morning as I thought I had put loads on BUT guess what - only 5 lbs and as I was 3lbs under it means I am still within my target - I can't believe it.
How's everyone else doing?
