Ok, so Beckham is out, Cole could be doubtful and Bridge doesn't want to go. As far as I'm concerned I think England has only 3 genuine world class players in Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard. Those three are definites but who else should be in the squad?

Assuming a die-hard Scotland supporter is allowed a say....

Peter Crouch - I think he's a handful and the type of player that foreign defenders may not be used to playing against.

Definites for me (agree with all so far)

Gareth Barry
Jermaine Defoe
Rio Ferdinand
John Terry :(
Joe Cole
James Milner

That little list gives so many options that Emile Heskey could get the position all England fans think he deserves - at home, watching it on telly :D

Right wing is the problem area. SWP, Lennon, Walcott?? All great players on their day but all out of form or injured at the mo!!!

SWP for me and Lennon if early season form can be reproduced.

Are you gentlemen convinced about JT ?

And I notice you haven't mentioned your preferred No. 1.

Do we have a viable alternative to JT?

Number One would have to be Green or Hart, don't think I could trust James ;)

I'd be interested to know how many world class player people thought Endland had before the 1966 Finals.

Banks and Moore.
