I have been and measured the swimming area of the pool today....
It has been shortened from its original length because of wooden planking, maybe spectators will use this
It is approx JUST 12 METRES WIDE and 17 METRES LONG!!!!!!!!!!
and this will house TWO dolphins!
This certainly does not conform to the European standard which I believe to be  350 square metres for ONE dolphin!
Shameful!

Looks like whoever drew up the plans has already made it difficult for them to get a license.

The WWF Representative will now come to visit the Kas Dolphins and Hisaronu Pool probably next week. This is very important because this internationally recognised  authority on animal welfare will be able to contact those at government level to put pressure on them.
It is vital that we have these heavy weights involved so please write to them. I am in contact with the whale and dolphin conservation society another great organisation to write to.
On the Oludeniz Forum I have put a poster which you can print off.
Now is the time I think to get this campaign visable. It is amazing how many people I meet that know NOTHING about it. Please print and put in your car or window.
On Thursday I am seeing the Mayor, and I will ask to see the plans, they should be avaliable for public viewing.. I will let you all know if succesful!Thank you

did you know that there is a phone number to ring to complain about anything retourism in Fethiye area
its just 179
or you can contact them via email alo.179@hotmail.com
I have just writen to say that there is a world wide campaign against this proposed dolphinarium and it is putting Turkey and in particular Hisaronu,Olu Deniz in a very bed light which will certainly affect tourism and the perception of this area.
Hope you can all just squeeze a moment to contact them too Thank you

Email sent registering my protest.
If everyone sent an email it will focus their minds on the outrage this proposal has caused.

I'd like to say a big well done to Judith; this is a real coup - getting organisations like the WWF involved in campaigns is virtually impossible and I know she has been working very hard every day to make this happen.

Unfortunately she is away in the UK for just over a week from Monday but there are journalists and other key people that are going to be involved in meeting the WWF next week.

I hope to get feedback and will report to you anything I hear.

Once again, I would endorse my appreciation to those already posted to Judith and all those who are doing all they can to prevent this awful thing going ahead.

I will also now e-mail to voice my concerns as per the suggestion above.
